Tomsk, October 19. OilCapital.ru. Irish PetroNeft Resources Plc, which has oil assets in the Tomsk region, has opened a new oil well as a result of drilling at Cheremshanskaya number 3 on the Lyedovyi area in the Alexander rayon of the region, the company said.

According to the company, two hydrocarbon deposits were encountered at the well. It will require additional testing to confirm the deposits and to determine the extractible volume of raw materials. "This process is likely to be completed in late 2011" - the company said.

Cheremshanskaya number 3 is six kilometers from the Lomovyi field, which Tomskneft VNK develops, as well as near all-weather roads, making it possible to begin production early in the field.

PetroNeft Resources Plc was founded in 2005 for exploration and production in Russia. Through Stimulus-T, PetroNeft owns the license to develop the Tungolskogo site in the Tomsk region, which includes Lineynoe, Tungolskoe, West Lineynoe as well as Kondrashevska and Arbuzov field.
