Gazprom Oil to invest $11.2 billion in upgrading its refineries before 2018

Moscow. On October 17. OilCapital.ru. Gazprom Oil, in accordance with its Investment Program, plans to spend $11.2 billion upgrading its refineries before 2018.
A company representative told RBK daily that production of light oil will exceed 29 million ton by 2020. By this time, Gazprom Oil is going to increase refining depth to 90-95% and the output of light oil up to 77%.
In addition, by 2015, the company plans to completely switch to the production of Euro-5 standard fuels . In July this year, gasoline production of this class took off at Gazprom Oil’s Omsk Oil Refinery.
According to OilCapital.ru, Gazprom Oil’s main processing asset, the Omsk Oil Refinery, refined 18.98 million tons of raw materials in 2010. In 2010, the depth of oil refining at the Omsk Refinery reached 83.3%. The development plan for the Omsk Refinery involves a move in 2012 to produce gasoline and diesel of Euro 4, and from 2015 - Euro-5.
In July 2010, a large-scale modernization program was launched at the Moscow Refinery, which includes construction of an isomerization installation for light oil. The plant will produce components of gasoline with an octane rating to 90.5 points. The plant capacity will be 650,000 tons per year. Commissioning of the service is scheduled for 2012.
Isomerization of light gasoline fractions will be installed at JSC Slavneft Yaroslavnefteorgsintez as well. Yanos became one of few Russian oil refineries that have managed to quickly set up production of diesel fuel with low sulfur content.
In 2010, the Serbian asset of Gazprom Oil, NIS, processed 2.85 million tons of oil to refineries in Pancevo and Novi Sad. In the framework of the modernization of the NIS refining capacities construction began in Pancevo in 2010 of a hydrocracker and a hydrotreater. The complex will enter into operation in 2012, increasing the processing amount of up to a maximum load 4.8 million tons per year.
