Japanese corporation "Marubeni" is planing on participating in offshore projects of "Rosneft" in the Magadan region. The press service of regional administration announced.

First Deputy Governor of the region, Nikolai Karpenko, met with representatives of the Japanese company. The possibility of it's involvement in projects for the extraction of tungsten, molybdenum and rare earth elements, as well as the development of hydrocarbon deposits on the shelf primagadanskom.

"We are negotiating with the company" Rosneft " the possibility of our participation in gas and oil projects on the shelf of the Okhotsk Sea. In our opinion, these projects have a good perspective on the supply of hydrocarbons in eastern Asia, given their geographic proximity," - said Head of Strategy and Coordination for Europe and CIS of "Marubeni" Yoshiki Miyazaki.

It is planned that "Rosneft" will complete the registration of licenses to develop offshore in the Primagadanskaya area in September 2011.

Nikolay Karpenko informed the Japanese delegation about the opportunities available in the region to invest in mining projects of coal, lignite, peat and other minerals. Yoshiki Miyazaki promised to carefully consider investment proposals of the Magadan region. It is reported by PortNews.
