TNK-BP OPENS FIRST BP HIGHWAY SERVICE STATIONS, 秋明英国石油公司

Tver, June 15, 2011 – Today, TNK-BP opened its first new-format highway service stations under the BP brand within the framework of its long-term retail business development strategy.
Opening new service stations is the first step in implementing a strategy to develop highway retail sites on the European territory of Russia. The first stage of this strategy envisions construction of more than 20 BP highway service stations with overall investments of over 3 billion rubles.
TNK-BP plans to build highway service stations on key highways in the European part Russia, such as M10 “Moscow–Saint Petersburg”, M1 “Belarus”, M4 “Don”, M5 “Ural”, and M7 “Volga”. Multifunctional service zones with highway service stations, motels, extended technical services for vehicles, parking lots, camping areas, and other services will be constructed along highways M1 “Belarus” and M4 “Don” in cooperation with the state-owned company “Russian Highways.”
The service stations at the 171st km of federal highway M10 “Moscow–Saint Petersburg” were designed and built in a very short time under a cooperation agreement between the Administration of the Tver Region and TNK-BP with active support of Dmitry V. Zelenin, Governor of the Tver Region.
“Today, in Tver, we are opening a new-concept BP service station for providing a unique set of services to professional drivers and auto travelers. In March last year Tver Region administration and TNK-BP signed an investment agreement for the construction of 15 service stations with a wide range of related services, along the Tver section of the highway between Moscow and St-Petersburg, Tver Region Governor Dmitry Zelenin said. – And now, the first service station is ready to welcome the customers. But it is only the beginning of a large investment project. My particular thanks go to the investor for attaching much importance to social programs and environmental security as major components of its business.

TNK-BP is the third largest oil company in Russia, whose shareholders on a parity basis are BP and the AAP Consortium (Alfa Group / Access Industries / Renova). Highway service stations offer an extensive set of services for auto travelers and commercial truck drivers, which includes hot meals in Wild Bean Cafes, many modern restrooms, shower rooms, guarded parking lots for cars and trucks, and Connect shops with an extended assortment of goods. Apart from that, new service stations have all necessary amenities for handicapped people.
The service station at the 171st km of federal highway M10 is equipped with two-sided Ultimate 98, Ultimate 95, AI-95, and AI-92 gasoline and Ultimate diesel fuel dispensers for cars and four two-sided high-speed diesel fuel dispensers for trucks that can dispense both ordinary diesel fuel and state-of-the-art Ultimate diesel fuel. The design, layout, and number of dispensing sites distribute the load evenly making provision of services to clients as fast and convenient as possible.
