CPC-R and CPC-K sanction pipeline recoating at Kazakhstan pipeline segments, Caspian Pipeline Consortium

The meeting focused on organizational, managerial and financial aspects of CPC’s ongoing performance. The Shareholders reviewed and approved proposals aimed at improvement of the CPC’s financial management and maintenance of technical reliability and safety of the systems. In particular, pipeline recoating at Kazakhstan pipeline segments with a total length of 114 km was sanctioned.
In addition, Shareholders discussed start of pipeline expansion and agreed the implementation of the related decisions taken in December 2010.

Expansion will increase CPC pipeline capacity up to 67 MMTA. Expansion Project includes overhaul of the existing and construction of 10 additional pump stations (2 in the Republic of Kazakhstan and 8 in Russia), six crude oil storage tanks near Novorossiysk, as well as third single point mooring at the CPC Marine Terminal and replacement of 88 km of pipelines in Kazakhstan.
