All Mechel Energo companies given readiness certificates for autumn-winter operation, 麦撤尔

Total maintenance expenditures in 2010 hit 674 mln rubles, a 13% increase y-o-y. Fuel reserves are 120% up the standard.

As Viktor Gvozdev, General Director of Mechel Energo, noted, "Firstly, winter 2009-2010 was very harsh, with long low temperature periods, so this year we increased our maintenance program to properly prepare the equipment for a new autumn-winter operation period.

Secondly, this winter we have increased fuel reserves because of difficulties with unloading coal due to cold temperatures last year. Namely, fuel reserves at Yuzhno-Kuzbasskaya GRES have been increased to 300,000 t".

Overall modernization at Mechel Energo involves improvement of equipment reliability.

The following Mechel Energo enterprises have been issued readiness certificates: Yuzhno-Kuzbasskaya GRES, Beloretsk, Kuzbass, Chelyabinsk and Moscow regional Mechel Energo divisions, as well as its divisions in Chebarkul and Izhevsk.
