Nuclear power deal between Russia and Vietnam signed, 俄罗斯国营核能公司Rosatom

An agreement between the Governments of Russia and Vietnam for construction of a nuclear power plant in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was signed on October 31, 2010 in Hanoi in the presence of Dmitry Medvedev, President of Russia, and Nguyen Minh Triet, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.The agreement was signed by Sergey Kirienko, Director General of Rosatom, and Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The agreement provides for turnkey construction of two nuclear power facilities of Ninh Thuan-1 nuclear power plant (NPP) of 1,200 MW each using the Russian technology. The first NPP in Vietnam will be built by Rosatom's affiliate, Atomstroyexport, with the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) as the construction customer.
