Lipatov: changes in law on Rosatom to prevent emergencies and provide development of Russia's nuclear potential, 俄罗斯下议院能源委员会

The State Duma has held the first reading of changes in the law "On Rosatom" introduced by the Russian Government
As Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of the Energy Committee of State Duma, notes, this law "fixes certain authorities of Rosatom in controlling the nuclear, radiation, technological and fire safety of the nuclear facilities, sources of radiation and starage points in the related Rosatom's facilities, joint stock companies, their subsidiaries and at the subordinated enterprises".

Lipatov also stressed that Rosatom is also to get additional authorities in controlling the nuclear fleet, according to the suggested changes.

"I'm sure that implementation of the changed law will improve the efficiency of the nuclear industry and will help to prevent emergencies contributing in gradual development of Russia's nuclear potential".
