Lipatov reports progress in reforming the Russian electric power industry, 俄罗斯下议院能源委员会

Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of Energy Committee of the State Duma of Russia, delivered a keynote speech at the energy forum "Development of the Russian electric power industry" in Moscow on September 22 reporting progress in reforming the Russian electric power industryAccording to Lipatov, the current priority of the electric power industry, one of the basic industries in Russia, is to evaluate the progress of developing the Russian electric power industry through its mass-scale transformations.
Some of the highlights of the current reforms and developments of the industry mentioned by Lipatov are the issues of safety and reliability, launch of long-term capacity market in Russia and introducing amendments in the Master Plan of allocating energy facilities (2008) approved in June 2010 by the Russian Government for the period of 2010-2030.
The Energy Committee plans to make preliminary conclusions of transferring the network companies according to RAB.
Another priority of reforming the electric power industry is to increase the energy efficiency of the Russian economy which is only possible through a comprehensive state policy.
During the spring session, the Russian State Duma approved a few laws aimed at improving the operation of the industry and providing reliable supply of electricity and heats.
