Russia-China oil pipeline put into operation within ESPO, Promstroi Group

The oil pipeline Russia-China was put into operation on 29 August at Skovorodino, Amur region within the framework of a project “Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean” (ESPO).Prime-minister Vladimir Putin, Vice-premier, Igor Sechin and other official visitors participated in the start-up ceremony process.
As of today all construction, assembly and erection works are completed. Prime constructor JSC “Promstroi” as well as the local constructing companies: JSC “SMU-166 Radiostroi”, JSC “Vostoksibelektromontazh”, PSMK “Avangard”, LLC “Alt-Prom”, branch of the Federal State Institution “Amurvodput” – “Blagoveschensk Navigation” – conducted the construction, assembly and erection works. The Chinese partners conducted the construction of the main and reserve trunk line submerged crossing.
President of CJSC “PROMSTROI GROUP”, Mikhail Polonskiy told about the works conducted: “The site was put into operation ahead of schedule, as it was planned for October. Effectively this is the pipelines system which combines all required sites. We have been providing the turnkey construction. It took us 485 days to complete it. The oil pipeline consists of a lot of sites: oil metering point, pump sucking, laboratory, residential field camp, oil pipeline, tank field, fire tank and other sites. Total construction area is about 8 Ha. This is the typical oil pipeline with the standard set of equipment from the technology point of view, however, the difficult climate conditions made its construction more complicated. We completed everything in spite of the difficulties. Pre-commissioning works are the only left to be completed.”
The Prime-minister, Vladimir Putin congratulated the oil pipeline constructors with the completion of the construction and expressed special gratitude to them for the high quality of works provided, qualification and commitment showed. “To build up such a site under such difficult climate conditions – this is really the great achievement and proof of persistence, qualification and courage”.
