The certification audit of the CPC Occupational Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) conducted by the recognized international certification agency BSI (British Standards Institute) has completed successfully. According to the results, the developed and implemented CPC HSMS covering its all operations in all subdivisions located in Kazakhstan and Russia is fully in line with OHSAS 18001:2007.The OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate acknowledges that the CPC HSE Policy, its staff competence, procedures, processes and practices comply with the internationally recognized standard and confirms that CPC's management system assures legal compliance and regular monitoring of CPC's operational and professional risks.
“The attainment of the OHSAS 18001 certificate represents another step in the continuous development of CPC’s management systems. The decision to adopt this international standard reflects a determination to reduce all occupational health and safety risks in CPC operations and to independently verify our programs through internationally recognized methods. CPC’s Health, Safety and Environmental performance record is already very good, we intend that the continuous verification program of OHS 18001 continues to further enhance our performance”, believes David Marshall, HSE General Manager, CPC.
