(Atomexpo OJSC) - Atomexpo 2009 will bring together in Moscow the key players of the world nuclear energy market
“For the first time so many key players of the world market of nuclear technologies will gather at a forum in Russia,” says the Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee of “Atomexpo 2009” International Forum Sergey Novikov.
The managers of such foreign companies as Alstom Power, Ansaldo Nucleare, Areva NP, BHP Billiton, China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), Fortum, General Electric-Hitachi, Kazatomprom, NAEC Energoatom, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd., Nukem Technologies, Siemens AG have already confirmed their participation in the plenary session of the congress and the roundtables.
ATOMEXPO 2009 international forum will take place at the Expo center in Moscow, on May 26–28, 2009. The key event of the forum is international congress “Nuclear Power: Development Through Cooperation,” which will offer state agencies and manufacturing companies an opportunity to discuss the prospects of nuclear energy development and international cooperation in the face of the global financial crisis.
The forum will be opened by Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko.
The program of the congress consists of plenary sessions: «Role of nuclear power in meeting energy needs of developed and developing countries in the XXI century,» «The world’s needs in nuclear power plants and conditions of the infrastructure,» «NPP Safety Ensurance» and roundtable discussions:
• International cooperation in the nuclear fuel market as a factor of supply security improvement
• Russia’s nuclear power and industry complex: trends and development prospects
• NPP construction engineering and project management
• International science and technology cooperation, building up the base of knowledge
• Decommissioning of nuclear facilities. Radwaste management
• Information and communications technologies for nuclear power
• Human resources for nuclear power
