Gazprom Neft has started oil trading at the StPetersburg Commodity Exchange. Gazprom Neft is a co-founder of the Exchange and plans to trade oil products on a regular basis in future.

Gazprom Neft is also interested in developing other projects of forming objective market indicators; since 2008 it is actively developing oil product trading through a corporate Electronic Trading Site (ETS) giving the buyers an opportunity to openly define prices in a free competition. Prices that the deals are made in the framework of electronic electronic trading are on the same level with prices of deals of the distributing enterprises of Gazprom - that proves market mechanisms of procong applied by Gazprom Neft.

Currently there are over 340 corporate buyers registered on the electronic site. Since its beginning 180,000 t of oil products have been sold there.
