TNK-BP to invest 55 billion rubles in APG program, TNK-BP

TNK-BP plans to invest over 55 billion rubles (USD 1.83 billion) in a utilization program for associated petroleum gas (APG) before 2015, Alexander Sleptsov, director of the department for realization of gas projects said at the plenary session of the Ugra-2011 international investment forum. Furthermore, he noted, about 10 billion rubles (USD 0.33 billion) will be invested in the Khanty-Mansiskyi Autonomous Region.
According to Sleptsova, in recent years, the company managed to increase the utilization of associated gas by more than 3 billion cubic meters. "In the coming years we intend to add another 1 billion cubic meters of gas to usage in a more beneficial way, and bring the level of recycling to 95%," he said.

The department director clarified that TNK-BP subsidiaries Samotlorneftegaz and TNK-Nizhnevartovsk already reached the 95 percent target, and that TNK-Nyagan and Varyeganneftegaz plan to achieve it in 2012-2013, Finmarket reported.
The average level of utilization of associated gas in the Khanty-Mansiysk is 86.4%.
