Bashneft to spend $ 1.1 billion before 2015 to upgrade refineries

Ufa. October 17. OilCapital.ru. OJSC Bashneft plans to invest around $ 1.1 billion before 2015 to upgrade its refineries, of which about $610 million will be used to build and increase refining of light oil products, $310 million to improve the quality of motor fuels to Euro-5 and about $200 million in activities to improve production efficiency, RBK Daily wrote.

The result of the modernization will increase refining depth up to 94.7% in 2016 and the proportion of light oil to 73%. "It is planned that by 2016 the proportion of gasoline will rise to 26.1% while maintaining the volume of processing at the current level of about 20-21 million tons a year", a Bashneft representative told RBC Daily. Thus, in five years the gasoline company’s production should increase from 4.7 million to 5.2 million tons.
