Draft bill "On using associated oil gas" introduced in the Russian State Duma, State Duma Committee for Energy

Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of the Energy Committee of the State Duma, announces that the Russian state authorities will impose fiscal, customs and tariff support to promote rational usage of associated oil gas for the subsoil operators

According to Lipatov, the draft bill "On using associated oil gas" aims to promote rational usage of associated oil gas including its transportation from the wells to the consumption sites, creation of infrastructure for transport of light hydrocarbon fractions, development and implementation of innovative technologies in using associated oil gas, providing environmentally safe consumption of associated oil gas and support for SMEs.

"We also suggest introducing changes in the law "On customs tariff" and in the Tax Code of Russia in order to establish support for rational users of associated oil gas", said Lipatov.

A special emphasis is placed on promoting investments in facilities for rational usage of associated oil gas.
