Yuri Lipatov: the newly approved law on Rosatom will support the development of Russia's nuclear industry, State Duma Committee for Energy

The State Duma approves on November 1 the changes in the federal law on Rosatom
As Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy, announced on November 1, "The newly approved changes in the federal law on Rosatom will support the development of Russia's nuclear industry. This law stipulates Rosatom's authority in controlling nuclear, radiation and fire safety of nuclear facilities, sources of radiation and Rosatom's nuclear energy storage points".

Lipatov is also confident that "The changed law is more specific in ensuring efficient execution of Rosatom's authorities and functions, as well as improving the efficiency of the nuclear industry, reducing the possibility of emergencies, and providing overall gradual development of Russia's nuclear industry".
