“Russian-German dialogue exemplifies efficient cooperation for E.U.”, noted Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Energy and coordinator of the State Duma deputy group responsible for relations with the German Bundestag on October 18, 2010 at a gala reception by Ulrich Brandenburg, German Ambassador in Russia, in the framework of Dr. Andreas Schockenhoff’s visit to Russia.

Yuri Lipatov and Dr. Andreas Schockenhoff, coordinator for Russian-German relations within the German government, have discussed Russian-German cooperation in the sphere of new technologies, power engineering, nuclear energy, energy saving, renewable energy and energy safety.

"The Russia - Germany energy dialogue is aimed at providing stable long-term relations, increasing mutual confidence and transparency in the sphere of energy. Today, sustainable economic development is one of the key conditions of the stable growth of the global economy, and the dialogue between Russia and Germany exemplifies efficient cooperation of two reliable energy partners", concluded Lipatov at the meeting.
