Lipatov: the law "On heat supply" introduces the heat supply industry in Russia, State Duma Committee for Energy

State Duma approves the federal law "On heat supply" that establishes the legal basis of production, transfer and consumption of heat capacity and defines the power of state authorities and local governance bodies in regulation and control of heat supply.

The law "On heat supply" fully defines the role and position of the authorities in organizing reliable heat supply in Russia being a clear guideline that establishes the cooperation of local governance bodies with the heat suppliers.

"Most importantly, the law "On heat supply" is to introduce the heat supply industry in Russia which is indispensable for the operation of the public utility sector in Russia", announced Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Energy.
