Lipatov: environmental disaster in the Gulf of Mexico stresses the responsibility of the engineers of oil and gas equipment, State Duma Committee for Energy

Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of the State Duma's Committee for Energy, took part in "Oil and gas equipment and technologies" exhibition (NEFTEGAZ-2010) exhibition on June 21, 2010

As Lipatov said, "Oil and gas are becoming the core industry of the Russian economy capable of powering a lot of other industries and promoting Russia's technological leadership. This is why NEFTEGAZ-2010 is attracting both the state authorities, the professionals and the business community as an efficient platform to advance the new approaches and implement safe and competitive technologies now that the role and responsibility of the operators of hi-tech equipment have become so evident in the light of the recent environmental disaster in the Gulf of Mexico".

Lipatov made this announcement on June 21, 2010 during the opening of the 13th International Exhibition "Oil and gas equipment and technologies" - NEFTEGAZ-2010.
