The 15th Jubilee International Transport and Logistics Exhibition “TransRussia” has taken place at the Expocentre grounds at Krasnaya Presnya on April 26-29, 2010. The exhibition was organised by ITE, the leading exhibition company in Russia in terms of the number of organised trade exhibitions.
Igor Levitin, Minister of Transport of Russia, who supports TransRussia, stated: “I consider this annual international exhibition to be necessary for the development of the industry. This professional transport forum is a ground for the demonstration of modern transportation technologies, transit freight opportunities, support in the reconstruction and modernisation of transport infrastructure in this country with the participation of Russian and international investments”.
Along with the Ministry of Transport of the RF, the exhibition and the conference were officially supported by the Committee for Transport of the State Duma of the RF, Russian Railways, Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport, Federal Agency for Railway Transport, Federal Agency for the Development of the State Border of the RF, Association of Russian Freight Forwarders and Guild of Freight Forwarders of Russia.
TransRussia anniversary edition has been attended by 458 companies from 33 countries, with 6 national pavilions of Germany, Spain, Belgium, Latvia, Liethuania and Estonia. Belorussia, presenting its national pavilion at the exhibition for the first time, was awarded the status of an Honourable Exhibitor Country.
80 new exhibitors have attended the exhibition, including Karcher, Tikhvinsky wagon works, Ust Luga trading port, Hoegh Autoliners Agency Russia, NOTA-Bank, Russian Transport Lines and many others. Exhibitors include the recognized leaders of the transport industry: Deutsche Bahn, Port of Hamburg, CD Cargo, Czech National Railways, Rhenus, Bremenports, PKR Cargo Trade Trans, Rusagrotrans, Volgo-Baltic Logistics, GK N-Trans, GK Fesko, National Container Company, First Cargo Company and many others.
Leaders of the Russian and international transport industry were among the speakers at the conference: Ivan Sherbo, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus, Kaspars Gerhards, Minister of Communications of Latvia, Vladimir Kornienko, First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, Juliusz Engelhardt, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Poland, Arunas Staras, Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania.
The Round Table on Baltic issues organised jointly with BaltMarketConsult was attended by ports of Riga, Tallinn, Klaipeda, VOPAK E.O.S, branch associations of Latvia and Lithuania, representatives of Federal Agency for the Development of the State Border of the RF and Maritime & Transport Business Solutions analytical agency.
The session programme on April 28 on marine cargo transportation and port development, rail cargo transportation market and operating efficiency of border checkpoints featured the CEOs of the largest Eastern European ports, representatives of railways and transporters: representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Port of Hamburg, Leipzig/Halle logistics hub, Soyuzmorniiproject, United China Logistic, IBS, Transcontainer, Refservice, STS/RLS Logistics, SamGUPS and FinAssist.
