Putin meets EBRD President, Government of Russia

Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of the Government of Russia, met with Thomas Mirow, President of EBRD, to discuss the prospects of EBRD projects in Russia

Both leaders emphasized the good and stable long-term relations of Russia and EBRD in the framework of successful EBRD projects in Russia: a Volkswagen facility in Kaluga, a Toyota facility in St-Petersburg, energy grids modernization, water treatment facilities in St-Petersburg.

Thomas Mirow expressed readiness of EBRD to offer help and support according to the current priorities of Russia that Putin had stated in the field of infrastructure improvement, energy and energy efficiency as well as economy diversification, and mentioned recent negotiations with Vladimir Yakunin, President of Russian Railways, as one of the current results in this field.
