Yuri Lipatov: “United Russia is involved in active social work at Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP”, State Duma Committee for Energy

Yuri Lipatov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy, made a visit to Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP on behalf of the United Russia (a State Duma faction) on August 28-30, 2009, for a more detailed insight in the social problems of the local population and the construction workers involved in the elimination of the disaster.
He conducted in-situ talks with the administration of Sayanogorsk concerning the priority issues - reconstruction of water supply of Mayna settlement and the social issues in Cheremushki settlement.

Lipatov underlined that the situation in the region was stable and the state government, the local authorities and RusHydro were doing all the possible to eliminate all problems related to the accident at Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP.
