Price of OPEC Reference Basket reaches 73 USD per barrel, CDU TEK

Price of OPEC Reference Basket increased 0.62 USD on August 24 to 72.89 USD per barrel from 72.22 USD on the previous day, according to RIA Novosti.The basket price hit the record on July 3, 2008, with 140.73 USD per barrel. The average price over 2008 was 94.45 USD per barrel.
The average OPEC oil barrel price was 41.52 USD in January 2009; 41.35 USD in February 2009; 45.78 USD in March 2009; 50.2 USD in April 2009; 56.98 USD in May 2009; 68.36 USD in June 2009; 64.59 USD in July.
The basket was extended to 12 types of oil with Ecuador oil in March 2008.
