Russia and Venezuela sign strategic agreements, Government of Russia

Igor Sechin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, made a working visit to Venezuela to sign a few agreements that promote further enhancement of the bilateral economic cooperation of the two countries.
Agreement on creating a Joint Venture of Gazprom and Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVZA) for services in the oil and gas industry and a Supplement to the Memorandum of Agreement between Rostekhnologii, represented by Prominvest, and PDVZA to set up a joint venture for environmental issues and servicing in oil and gas were signed in the Miraflores palace, in the presence of Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela, and Igor Sechin, Prime Minister of Russia.

Besides, the Parties signed a Charter of the joint venture of Ruskaoin and La Corporación Venezolana de Guayana for production of ceramics that envisages construction of five ceramic works, initialed the Draft of the Interstate Agreement for cooperation in fishing industry and signed the Statement on Interstate Commission of Russia and Venezuela for military and technical cooperation.
