Russian Railways to get 50 billion rubles in 2010

Russian Railways (RZhD) will get 50 bln rubles of subsidies regardless of the size of the budget
Government of Russia will allocate 50 bln rubles from the federal budget for Russian Railways in 2010, as RIA Novosti informed on July 24. “We’ve been discussing the budget issue again yesterday. Despite any challenges, our plan is to provide Russian Railways 50 bln rubles of support”, — said Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of Russia. He reminded that the railway monopoly is getting an equal federal subsidy in 2009. “That means that railway car manufacturers and metallurgists will get the support”.
