Sakhalin-5 Project
Sakhalin-5 is an oil and gas project on the Sakhalin offshore.The project is owned by Rosneft (51 %) and BP (49 %). Total estimated oil reserves on the two sites of Sakhalin-5 - Vostochno-Shmidtovsky and Kaygansko-Vasyukansky - are about 550 mln t of oil and 41 bln cu. m of gas; prospective oil reserves are estimated as 1.5 bln t of oil and 255 bln cu. m of gas. Active development of Sakhalin-5 will start after 2010.
