Vyborg Port

Located in the Russian city of Vyborg, 40 km from the Finnish border, Vyborg Port was one of two ports acquired by OMG in 2007 to expand the range of services offered by OMG Ports.

An integral part of North-West Russia's logistical transport network, Vyborg Port is connected by sea, road, railway and river with Russia's entire transportation network, and by sea and railway links with countries in Northern Europe and the Baltic and North Seas.

As the main transshipment point for Russian exports delivered to Finland, its location adds flexibility to the European freight flow. Currently the Vyborg port is undergoing an intensive redevelopment program to handle capacities of 160,000 TEUs, 200,000 Ro-Ro units and 1 mln passengers per year.

Vyborg Port has 13 berths with total loading length of 1,000 m at depths of 7.1-9.8 m. It handles a diverse mix of cargo including bulk cargoes (chemical fertilizers, coal, cast iron), timber (round and sawn timber) and general cargo (steel, containers, bagged fertilizers).
