Vladivostok Commercial Port

Commercial Port of Vladivostok is a fast growing transport company of Russia, situated on the north - western coast of the ice-free Golden Horn Bay, was founded in 1897. Advantageous geographical position of the port located at the crossroads of international transport corridors and a developed cargo handling infrastructure predetermine its key role as one of the leading ports in the Russian Far East.

In 1991 Commercial Port of Vladivostok was opened to foreign shipping activity, since then export-import turnover has steadily been enhancing. Commercial Port of Vladivostok coordinates the activity of companies which include 57 port-related enterprises, namely stevedore, forwarding, agency, surveying and other companies. Potential cargo turnover is 9-11 mln t per year.

Location of the Commercial Port of Vladivostok in the Asia-Pacific Rim determines the geography of cargo flows: some of its main trading partners are South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
