Shtokman field
Shtokman field is located in the central part of the Russian sector of the Barents Sea.The deposits holds around 3.8 trillion cubic meters of gas.
The Shtokman gas and condensate field will become a resource base for deliveries of Russian pipeline gas to Europe and LNG shipments to the Atlantic basin markets. Sevmorneftegaz Ltd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, holds a gas and gas condensate exploration and operation license.
Phase 1 of the field development provides for an annual yield of 23.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The first delivery of pipeline gas is scheduled for 2013, of LNG - for 2014. Shtokman Development AG was set up on 21 February, 2008 with the following ownership interest: Gazprom – 51 %; Total – 25 %; StatoilHydro – 24 %. The Company is registered in Switzerland.
This structure is headed by Yuri Komarov, General Director of Sevmorneftegaz Ltd, a Gazprom subsidiary.
