RAO Energy Systems of East

RAO Energy Systems of East was established on July 1, 2008 as a Holding operating throughout all the regions of the Far East Federal Region. The Russian Federation is the majority shareholder with 52,68% of the shares; minorities hold 46,44% and Power Index - RusHydro holds 0.88% of the shares. Stocks traded on RTS and MICEX stock exchange.

The core activity of RAO Energy Systems of East is management of power companies in the Far East Federal Region and in the neighboring regions.

Total space of the Far East Fedral Region is 36% of the Russian territory and it includes 9 regions: the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Kamchatka, Primorye, Khabarovsk, Amur, Magadan and Sakhalin regions, the Jewish Autonomous Region and Chukotka.
